He served as the Medical Director of both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Medical-Surgical Unit at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando, Florida from 1986 to 2018. Prior to that, he was director of Pediatric Intensive Care at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando. He is now the Medical Director of the CCK program, a treatment and diagnostic center for children with complex and rare illnesses.

This was followed by a fellowship at UF Health Shands Hospital prior to moving to Orlando.
Following his education, he became board-certified in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics, an independent, nonprofit organization whose certification is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence.
