The Trauma Care International Foundation, founder by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome organized the first-ever global voluntary blood donation campaign at the end of June and it was marked as successful.

The Trauma Care International Foundation, founder by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome organized the first-ever global voluntary blood donation campaign at the end of June and it was marked as successful. On the 30th of June, 2018, over 4,000 voluntary blood donors were registered over an 8-hour period and were recruited in multiple centers all over the world. It has been stated that no other organization has ever managed to recruit so many voluntary blood registration for such a short period of time.

Furthermore, the organization shared that thousands of people from more than 17 countries from all over the world signed up at the maiden edition of the voluntary blood donation campaign, which was initially organized by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – the founder of Christ Embassy and the Trauma Care International Foundation. The campaign was held across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America simultaneously, between the hours of 10AM to 6PM GMT+1. Moreover, the organization observed that the participants varied from different strata of society. They also stated that this success was due to people’s desire “to demonstrate their feelings of kindness and love for humanity through voluntary blood donation”. The campaign was held in commemoration of the annual World Blood Donor Day, which is marked on June 14th each year.
