Winter is Here Yet Now is the Time Says GasTech Calgary Fireplace

January 30, 2020 - /PressAdvantage/ - Calgary’s GasTech Heating & Fireplace wants the community to be aware that this is one of the best times of the year to add warmth and value to any home. Even though the weather is still cold, new models from manufacturers will be coming to market soon and generally speaking yearly pricing increases won’t happen until early spring.

Gas fireplaces are stand-alone units that have to be installed, framed around, and then finished with tile, stone or metal or a combination of them. The options now are not the boring, fake-looking types of a few decades ago; now property owners have many choices ranging from a three or four-sided gas log display to open flame, non-glass, and many more.

Although their initial focus was fireplace service, over the years GasTech’s offerings expanded to include market leading heating products and supplies, installation, gas fitting, permitting, and fully finished tile and stone options for any project.

GasTech’s website at https://gastech-heating-fireplace.business.site/ includes many photographs of several sample installations. These photos include a wide range from the old-fashioned appearance of an antique, wood-burning metal stove to a sleek, minimalist, ultra-modern fireplace. GasTech also offers very utilitarian heating products such as garage or basement heaters and furnaces. These can also be seen in person at their Calgary showroom in Montgomery which is open six days a week.

Taron B., a company spokesman for GasTech said, “We work both on residential or commercial projects and we can be as involved as much as is necessary on any project – we’ll work with home builders, renovators, designers, and landscapers or simply directly with the homeowner. Our aim is to set the standard for excellent service and craftsmanship.”

Many people are not aware that an existing woodburning fireplace can be converted to a gas stove. There’s no question that a wood-burning stove creates ambiance, but it also creates creosote and can irritate allergies for many people have. Gas stoves are safe for children, teens, adults and the elderly and tend to be less irritating to the highly sensitive. Maintenance is simple and easy, and there are almost no pollutants that are generated by gas fireplaces. And the fuel efficiency of gas-powered fireplaces and furnaces is very high.

GasTech Heating & Fireplace endeavors to deliver exemplary service and support. One recent customer, Don A. said, “We were impressed with Brian's knowledge and went with his recommendation of the Enviro Q3. A GasTech installer came and installed the unit exactly when promised. He completed the job in about half a day. After framing and tiling, our fireplace is operating beyond our expectations. Our basement is now as warm as the rest of the house. We are very pleased with the quality of the unit and the purchase experience.”

Many people do not realize that GasTech can install outdoor fireplaces or that it is possible to have crystal, and rock/stone burners rather than the appearance of wood or gas jets. It is also not common knowledge that a free-standing gas stove can be put nearly anywhere in a home. The GasTech website has several “Frequently Asked Questions” which will help interested people to learn more about the company and gas stoves in general.

Terry Morrison, a co-founder of GasTech Heating & Fireplace, said, “No matter what a client enjoys as an aesthetic, we have got or can get something that they will definitely love, for years to come.”

“This is the time to get in touch,” Mr. Morrison continued. “We don’t know exactly when the prices will go up from the stove manufacturers, but we do know that they will go up because the manufacturing costs have increased.”

GasTech Heating & Fireplace can be reached by telephone or online, or by stopping into its showroom at 4703 Bowness Rd NW in Calgary. They are open from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Saturday, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
